Siaosi
FIJI FEST ARTIST LEGACY

Siaosi

Oʻahu-born island reggae artist, longtime collaborator, family member, and one of the voices closely connected to George “FIJI” Veikoso’s musical legacy.

THE FIJI CONNECTION

Family, music, and years of shared history.

Siaosi’s connection to FIJI runs deeper than sharing a stage. Hawaiʻi Public Radio documented that Siaosi is a relative of George “FIJI” Veikoso, sang backup vocals for him for several years, and credits FIJI as an important influence on his own music career.

Their connection can also be heard directly in the music. Siaosi performs additional vocals on FIJI’s 2008 recording “Hey Girl” from Indigenous Life, with George Veikoso credited as songwriter and producer.

It is exactly the kind of relationship FIJI Fest was created to celebrate: the music, family, mentorship, and Pacific community surrounding George’s life and legacy.
