Inaugural FIJI Fest Hawaiʻi to Celebrate the Music and Legacy of George “FIJI” Veikoso
A new annual festival will bring generations of island artists together at Aloha Stadium on November 21 to honor FIJI’s influence and carry his musical legacy forward.
HONOLULU — The music, influence, and legacy of George “FIJI” Veikoso will be celebrated at the inaugural FIJI Fest Hawaiʻi on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Aloha Stadium Parking Lot on Oʻahu.
Organized by the nonprofit Fiji Foundation, the festival brings together established and emerging artists, longtime friends and collaborators, family, and fans. The celebration honors both the music FIJI created and the musical community he helped build across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.
Gates open and music begins at 3:00 PM. Music ends at 10:00 PM. All times are Hawaiʻi Standard Time.
A legacy carried forward
FIJI’s distinctive blend of reggae, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, and Pacific influences helped shape contemporary island music. Beyond his own recordings and performances, he encouraged and mentored generations of musicians throughout his career.
That commitment to other artists remains central to the Fiji Foundation. Its mission is to perpetuate FIJI’s musical legacy by investing in the next generation of musicians through education and mentorship.
“FijiFest is about making sure Fiji’s legacy keeps on living, growing, and inspiring,” said Del Fola, President of the Fiji Foundation. “Fiji gave us an incredible body of music, but he also gave his time, knowledge and encouragement to generations of artists. Through the Fiji Foundation and FijiFest, we want to continue what he started by supporting young musicians and creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, and carry island music forward.”
The evening will feature music from FIJI’s catalog alongside signature songs from the artists gathering in his honor.
Featured performers include B.E.T., Braddahoodz, Damon Williams, Fia, High Watah, HiRisk Faktor, Ilona Irvine, Jeff Rasmussen, Kaipo Kapua, Manaʻo Company, Rebel SoulJahz, Siaosi, Sistah Robi Kahakalau, and Undaground Konkushyn.
Artists are listed alphabetically, not in billing or performance order. Visit the Featured Artists page for artist profiles and current announcements. Set times will be announced.
FIJI Fest is envisioned as an annual gathering that honors his life and music while looking ahead to the future of island and Pacific music.
