Rebel SoulJahz
A Waipahu-born island-reggae group whose place in the FIJI story is tied to Hawaiʻi’s modern reggae community and the artists who gathered to honor George “FIJI” Veikoso.
Part of the community that came together for FIJI.
Rebel SoulJahz were among the artists who performed at the official A Hui Hou Tribute to FIJI in Waikīkī in September 2025, joining a broad cross-section of Hawaiʻi and Pacific artists to honor George’s life and music.
Their inclusion reflects the generational reach of FIJI’s influence across Hawaiʻi’s island-reggae scene. Rebel SoulJahz emerged from Waipahu years after George helped establish the sound internationally, becoming one of the groups carrying island reggae forward for a new generation.
We have not yet documented a specific studio collaboration between Rebel SoulJahz and FIJI, so this page intentionally centers the connection we can verify: shared community, musical lineage, and their participation in the 2025 tribute honoring George.
