Fia
Nānākuli singer-songwriter Fia brings a modern blend of island reggae, R&B, and soul to the Pacific music tradition FIJI helped shape.
A late-career collaboration linking generations.
Fia’s connection to FIJI is documented in “OILEI”, released in 2024 by FIJI with J Boog and Fia. All three artists are credited on the recording, with George Veikoso among the composers and Fia credited as a lyricist.
The collaboration captures one of the most important parts of FIJI’s legacy: he continued creating with younger Pacific artists and connecting generations of island music throughout his career.
At FIJI Fest, Fia represents that continuing line — an artist from Hawaiʻi whose own work carries island reggae into a new era while sharing a direct recording history with George.
